About Us

Our success story began when Dr. Dieter Loebnitz founded the CTL (Computer Technology Laboratory) on October 1st, 1983, which he initially ran alone from his own home in Oberndorf-Bochingen.

Whilst we were a department of Mitutoyo Deutschland, our steady growth in personnel necessitated moving to bigger offices in Oberndorf several time.

Since 2010, CTL has been officially established as an independent subsidiary of Mitutoyo Europe GmbH under our new name Mitutoyo CTL Germany GmbH. Since then, management has been in the hands of Hans-Peter Klein.

We are located in the idyllic town of Oberndorf in the vicinity of the beautiful Neckar Valley, the Black Forest and the Swabian Alb. In addition, the state capital Stuttgart and the Lake Constance are only a short journey away.

At Mitutoyo CTL Germany GmbH, we employ highly qualified specialists in the areas of development and maintenance of application software for 3D coordinate measuring machines, as well as in the area of research and development of intelligent algorithms. Our primary task is to proactively develop and enhance our software, by staying in close contact with our customers to identify their current and emerging requirements and expectations.

Training Concept

The know-how of our employees is our most valuable asset. Therefore, it is important, that they continue to advance their know-how.

Our aim is to actively foster and develop the abilities of our employees.

We do not simply want to increase their knowledge of subject matter. We also take care that our employees share their knowledge and experience with each other.

We practice various training and coaching methods:

  • External training courses.
  • Internal training courses, in which many employees attend together. This has the advantage, that the training can be better adapted to our needs.
  • Attending conferences.
  • Internal workshops, e.g. Clean Code.
  • Consulting.

We are able to fulfil our focus on training, because our parent company, MEU , has approved us a generous training budget.
